What appears publicly

Your chosen display name, comment, posting date, and Guest or Member label appear publicly. Your email address, phone number, and age are not included in public comment responses.

Guest information

Guest comments ask for a display name, email address, and age. A phone number is optional. This information supports participation, administration, and abuse prevention. Commenting is available to adults aged 18 and over. Guest email addresses are unverified and do not grant access to account records.

Account information

Account credentials are handled by the authentication service. Journal administrators do not receive your password. Profiles and administrator records are private. An account can only be linked to existing private records after ownership has been verified.

Abuse prevention and retention

The community service uses a bot check, submission limits, and protected identifiers derived from email addresses and network addresses. Moderation records and posting timestamps support limits and blocks. Removing a comment hides it immediately and clears the guest contact fields; a private moderation record remains. Cookies and analytics

Account and administration pages are excluded from website analytics recordings. Forms are masked on journal pages. Authentication uses session storage in your browser tab. Bot protection is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile.
