Sunday, October 25: choose your RSVP
$20 boat cruise, subject to confirmation. Free-to-attend Wharf social afterward; drinks purchased individually.
One afternoon, two ways to join
If you are looking for a way to meet Jewish young adults in Washington, DC, Hamsa Nomads is hosting its first local DC gathering on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Jews in the Potomac starts with a small-group electric boat cruise and continues with an open social at The Wharf.
You can request a boat seat, come only for the social, or join both. The important distinction is that boat capacity is limited; the social afterward does not require a boat ticket.
The boat: $20 per person, with confirmation required
The $20 boat ticket covers the electric boat cruise on the Potomac. It does not include drinks afterward. Places are limited, and submitting the form is a request rather than a confirmed ticket.
The exact departure time and boarding point will be shared with boat participants. Before planning your journey around the cruise, check your confirmation for those details. We have not published a remaining-seat count, so ask for availability rather than assuming a place is held.
The Wharf social: come even if you skip the boat
The gathering afterward is open to people who did not take the cruise. There is no event admission fee for the social; each person buys their own drinks. You do not need to purchase a boat ticket to meet the group at The Wharf.
Use the drinks RSVP on the official event page to receive the exact meetup details, or follow the updates in the Hamsa Nomads DMV WhatsApp community. The social's precise meeting point is shared with participants rather than guessed in this article.
Coming alone from DC, Maryland or Northern Virginia
Solo guests and friends coming together are welcome. This event is for Jewish young adults and young professionals around the DMV; you do not need to have attended a Hamsa Nomads retreat before.
If you are coming only for drinks, choose that RSVP instead of requesting a boat seat. It helps us send you the relevant meetup information and keeps limited boat requests separate from the social list.
Before you leave home
Check which part of the event you are confirmed for, the meeting instructions you received and the current information on the official event page. Exact boarding and social details are sent to participants. Do not use an estimated start time from a repost as your boarding instructions.
The two forms serve different purposes: request a boat seat for the cruise, or RSVP for the free-to-attend social. Neither the article nor a social RSVP reserves a boat ticket.
Keep meeting the community after Sunday
If you cannot make October 25, the event page also has a way to request access to the DMV WhatsApp community. Group admission may require approval.
For a full weekend away, Jewmanji follows October 30–November 1 in Ocean City, New Jersey. Its official page has the shared-room accommodation options and booking-request form; it is a separate event from the DC cruise.
