Sukkot Program 2026

A Sukkot retreat for young Jewish professionals, with room for your family too.

The retreat is centered on Sukkot itself: festive meals in the sukkah, minyan and tefillah, meaningful Torah learning, the Four Kinds — lulav and etrog — and the joy of spending Yom Tov together in the Vermont mountains.

Check-in is around 3:00 PM on Friday, September 25, and the main retreat checks out Monday, September 28 at 10:00 AM. The retreat begins with the first nights of Sukkot and continues into Chol Hamoed, giving the group four days and three nights together on the estate. An optional Vermont Trek extension continues through Tuesday, September 29.

Between meals, davening and learning, there is time to swim, use the hot tub and game room, enjoy the mountain setting, talk, rest and spend time with a curated group. Food and meals are included in every published accommodation price.

The retreat

Meaningful Sukkot, mountain air and a Vermont estate made for spending time together.

Sukkah meals, tefillah, Torah learning and the Four Kinds shape the Chag. The estate adds another layer: an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, game room, gym, large shared spaces and the Green Mountains just outside.

The group is curated so meals, learning and downtime feel personal. There is a real program, but also enough room to swim, play, walk outside, have long conversations or simply enjoy the property.

Estate amenities

More than a place to sleep.

The retreat takes place on a private Southwest Vermont estate with indoor and outdoor spaces that are part of the Sukkot experience.

Indoor swimming poolSwim without depending on late-September Vermont weather.
Hot tubA warm place to unwind after a long Chag meal or time outside.
Game roomShared indoor space for games and hanging out between programmed moments.
GymOn-property fitness space for guests who want it.
Vermont mountainsFall air, changing leaves and mountain scenery around the estate.

The setting

Sukkot naturally belongs outside.

The sukkah, the Four Kinds and the joy of the Chag already bring people outdoors. In Southern Vermont, that happens against mountain views, cool evenings and the beginning of fall foliage — with substantial indoor space when the weather changes.

What’s nearby

Mount Snow and the Deerfield Valley are right outside the retreat.

For Chol Hamoed, free time, or time before and after the retreat, Southern Vermont has easy ways to get into the mountains and fall scenery. Seasonal operations vary, so specific lift and activity hours should be checked before going.

Mount SnowScenic mountain access, mountain biking and — on select operating days from spring through fall — scenic chairlift rides toward the summit.
Hiking + foliageDeerfield Valley trails, overlooks and mountain walks are especially strong as the leaves begin to turn.
Wilmington villageA historic Southern Vermont village with local shops, galleries and an easy walk-around-town feel.
Lakes + reservoirsNearby Deerfield Valley lakes and reservoirs offer lakeside views and, when weather allows, paddling, kayaking, boating and swimming.

Mount Snow in fall

See Vermont from the mountain.

Mount Snow is a four-season resort in the Green Mountains. Warm-weather offerings include mountain biking and scenic escapes, and the Deerfield Valley tourism office lists the Bluebird Express scenic chairlift on select days from May through October. These are optional nearby ideas rather than guaranteed retreat programming because operating calendars can change.

Why this format

A private-estate format with room for both Chag and downtime.

Shared meals, davening and Torah learning give the retreat its rhythm, while the pool, hot tub, games, mountain setting and communal spaces make the hours in between feel like part of the experience too.
