Comments are for travel questions, practical tips, and thoughtful conversation about the article. Treat other readers with respect.

What we filter

We block antisemitic language, slurs, threats, harassment, spam, political slogans, and terms on our community word list. The journal stays focused on travel and shared experiences. Filtering applies to display names as well as comments.

How comments work

Eligible comments publish automatically. The initial allowance is two comments per person per article in a rolling 24-hour period, with an additional daily limit. Links and HTML are not accepted. Administrators can change these limits, remove comments, block posting, and close conversations.

Guests appear with a Guest label. A guest name or email is not a verified identity. Use the Report button when a comment needs attention. Reports go to the administrators and do not automatically remove a comment.

Keep personal details private

Choose a display name you are comfortable sharing. Avoid posting phone numbers, email addresses, booking details, or other people’s personal information.
